Saturday – September 21, 2024  Women’s Beginner Seminar @ 11:00 a.m.

Who: Any aspiring or current powerlifter with 2 or less sanctioned meets completed

Description: Covered will be everything an aspiring or beginning powerlifter needs to know to compete in a sanctioned powerlifting competition. Lombard Strength & Fitness staff includes world-champion powerlifters as well as APF/WPC sanctioned powerlifting referees to cover both the technique and strategy of competing in a powerlifting meet as well as the logistics and rules of a sanctioned contest.

They will start by explaining day-of logistics of a powerlifting meet, including weigh-ins, scheduling of flights, warm-ups, attempt selection and the flow of a typical meet. The rules, commands, and technique of the squat, bench and deadlift will be explained in a straight forward fashion.

Lifting Sessions: Sunday 9/22 9:00 a.m Start Time / 8:00 a.m Rules Clinic

Saturday 9/21: – Seminar Begins @ 11:00 a.m.

Sanction/Rules: Sanctioned by the American Powerlifting Federation (APF). Check www.worldpowerliftingcongress.com for information and rulebook. One piece lifting suit required.

Weigh-ins: Sat. 9/21: 9-11 a.m., 4 p.m.

ALL lifters MUST weigh-in the day before they lift–No morning of weigh-ins

Eligibility: Open to all APF/AAPF members. Lifters must present their printed card or proof via their smart phone at weigh-ins. New memberships or renewal memberships can be purchased on www.worldpowerliftingcongress.com.

CARDS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE MEET SITE.

Entry Fee: Seminar only $60. The entry fee is $115 for full power, $80 for bench or deadlift only, $100 for both bench + deadlift only, and $50 for each additional division. NO REFUNDS.

Deadline: The entry deadline is September 3, 2024. Late entries will be charged a $20 late fee, and can be denied—no entries taken at weigh-ins. Meet may fill up prior to the deadline. Strict cap of 60 powerlifters and 10 benchers/deadlifters, for Sunday.

Awards: Awards will be given to the first three places in Women’s Open weight classes. Age divisions will be scored via coefficent (all weight classes in each division against each other).
